Project Vision
Project Vision is India Foundation's pledge to provide eyesight, absolutely free of cost, to the underprivileged. We intend to achieve this through our association with Project Drishti. This venture was set up by renowned eye specialist Dr. Narpat Solanki, a founder member of a community-initiative providing comprehensive eye care services to people in rural Bangalore. To date, they have conducteded10,000 plus free eye camps and 52,000 plus free eye surgeries. Dr. Solanki's specialization in Phaco, Small Incision Cataract Surgery, Refractive Surgery and Squint Surgery has spurred him to a record 50,000 plus eye surgeries.
At India Foundation, our immediate goal is to gift vision to 1000 blind individuals in rural India, who have cataract by providing free surgery to them. We estimate each surgery to cost US $ 25. To attain this goal, we seek to raise US $ 25,000. We ask you to consider making a contribution to achieve this target. All contributions, however small or large, will be greatly appreciated. Donors making a contribution of US $ 500 and more will be recognized for their philanthropic contribution with a custom designed plaque. We already have commitments for 250 surgeries so far.
Any contributions made can be claimed as a "tax-free donation" and can be made in U.S. by making a check payable to India Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization, or in India to Sri. C.R. Jain Charitable Trust, a tax-exempt I-80-G charitable trust, a subsidiary of India Foundation. You may mail your checks to -
